The Department of Neurology has experienced faculty with varied research interests. It offers research facilities in the areas of diagnosis and management of various acute and chronic neurological disorders. This is backed by well-developed electro diagnostic laboratory with facilities for EEG, electroneuromyography, evoked potentials; long term video EEG, transcranial magnetic stimulation, sleep laboratory, motor physiology laboratory, magnetoencephalography and Doppler ultra-sonography. The department runs various specialty clinics for catering the varying needs of patients, which includes Neuromuscular clinic, Refractory Epilepsy clinic, Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders clinic, Headache clinic, Stroke clinic, Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromyelitis Optica clinic, Wilson’s disease clinic, Pediatric Neurology clinic and Cognitive disorders clinic. A sub-specialty block providing services for six-different sub-specialties: movement disorders, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, pediatric neurology, stroke, and cognitive neurology will be initiated soon. The department also has specialized stroke unit, neuro critical care unit and exclusive neuro infection ward.
